Day 1 | ARRival in strasbourg | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

You will be landing in Strasbourg or arrive by train, Froggytravel will arrange for a private transfer to your hotel for the next three nights, the beautiful 4-star hotel Cour du Corbeau. This hotel is a classified historical monument where each room reflects a small part of the history and culture of the region. Upon the time you arrive in town and if it is too early for your room to be ready we will take a coffee or perhaps a light lunch close to your hotel, then, a nap is probably your best chance to fight jet lag and one night in a plane. Wake up refreshed, on time for the aperitif followed by our first Alsatian dinner at S'Burjerstuewel or Maison Kammerzell at the foot of the Cathedral, very traditional tables typical of the region.
First night in Strasbourg
Day 2 | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

This morning, we will follow a guided visit of this old city with a very long and turbulent history being located at the border of France and Germany.
Then, mountainous landscapes, charming villages and wine tasting are on today's program. The very Alsatian villages of Kaysersberg, Obernai, are on the road and although some of these villages look like Walt Disney studios built them, they were there in Medieval times.
Alsace is known mostly for its white wines. The region produces a large variety of "cépages" such as Riesling, Sylvaner, Muscat, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and the highly aromatic Gewurztraminer. The 15,298 hectares (37,800 acres) of classified "Alsace" represents 119 villages and 150 million bottles a year.
Lunch in a village with Alsatian wines or Alsatian beer. Dinner on your own in Strasbourg.

Day 3 | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

Another day on Alsatian roads after a visit of the Haut Koenigsberg castle.
Lunch in a village and wine tastings. Afternoon in Colmar, lovely and very Alsatian town, birth place of birthplace of Frederic Auguste Bartholdi best known for designing Liberty Enlightening the World commonly known as the Statue of Liberty. His works are visible everywhere in the city. Colmar was founded in the 9th century and is mentioned as Columbarium Fiscum in a text dated 823.Bartholdi a little train on wheel is a convenient and easy to quickly discover this interesting city,
Back late afternoon in Strasbourg for a dinner at the exceptional “Le Crocodile” a MIchelin starred restaurant.
Third and last night at La Cour du Corbeau.

Let’s discover the “ballons” region, mountains bordering the Alsatian plain and the old massif of the Vosges.
Lunch at a farm in the mountains, a splendid setting before an afternoon drive west to dine and sleep in le Chateau des Monthairons.
day 5 | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP - VISIT TO WWI SITE IN VERDUN, FRANCE

After an early start for a drive to Verdun, we will meet Guillaume, a guide with an extraordinary deep knowledge of the region and WWI; this will allow us to understand better the terrible conditions and courage of the French and English soldiers defending this part of the front. We will stop to see some preserved trenches and drive through a landscape carved by shells 100 years ago. We will also visit the Douaumont ossuary and the galleries under Verdun's fort.

Dinner and second night at the Chateau des Monthairons.
day 6 | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

Morning drive to Reims for your first visit and tasting at a Maison de Champagne.
Lunch in town before a guided visit of one of the most beautiful surviving examples of Gothic art the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Reims (registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site this Cathedral is where many kings of France were crowned).
We will dine and spend the night at Les Crayères*****, a superb property located in a park near downtown Reims. The exceptional table at Les Crayeres is a starred Michelin.
Day 7 | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

After a leisurely morning letting you enjoy breakfast at “Les Crayeres” hotel another Maison de Champagne will open its door to our group. After these two visits, you should have a full understanding of how bubbly is made!
Lunch on the road and afternoon drive (or board a high-speed train) we bring us to Paris mid afternoon.
You will stay at the charming 5-star Hotel d'Aubusson located in the 6th arrondissement. Intellectual and cultural center of Paris, the neighborhood as an authentic and intimate character. A genuine townhouse, the origins of which date back to the 17th-century, the Hotel d'Aubusson has preserved its old day charms: Versailles parquet, open beams, grand fireplace in Burgundy stone and Aubusson tapestries which inspired the hotel's name.
In the evening, we will dine next door at the simple but convivial, very French and good "Chez Fernand."
Day 8 | day in paris and cruise on the seine | ALSACE, CHAMPAGNE AND PARIS LUXURY TRIP

You will spend the day on your own in Paris. You may choose to explore Le Louvre, the Champs Elysées, the Opera, the Marais district, the d'Orsay, Montmartre, Ile de la Cite, or the Latin Quarter! If those ideas don't suit you, your Froggytravel tour director can provide suggestions or even spend some time with you and help you to discover the most beautiful city in the world.
For our last evening together, you will board a cruise ship for a special and unforgettable dinner cruise on the Seine. You will see illuminated Paris banks passing by, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame Cathedral while enjoying excellent food, wines, and service.
Second night at the Hotel D'Aubusson.
Day 9 | DEPARTURE FROM PARIS
B
MONDAY MORNING. To catch your flight back to SFO you will have to leave the hotel at 7:00 am. Sunday traffic will be light which removes the stress of a possible delay on your way to CDG airport. Or... you can extend your stay...
OPTION TO ADD EXTRA DAY (additional cost upon request):
If you wish to spend one or more more day in Paris, the following option are available: a tour of Versailles' castle and gardens followed by a trip to Giverny to visit Monet's house and garden. If you have already visited Versailles and Giverny, an alternative is the Chantilly castle, less known but spectacular, a superb visit.
